Galveston Island Brewing

Founded in 2014, Galveston Island Brewing (GIB) started as a home brewing couple’s dream and is now the island’s premier brewer. Support from locals and the surrounding county has named them the crafters of Galveston’s Official Beer, Tiki Wheat. The firm keeps growing and setting its eyes on new flavors and brewing options. In 2021, the firm went through some major upgrades with its 4,400 square foot expansion to help double production and provide event space. The next year, JanMar’s graphic designer built the company’s new site from the ground to be up to date with animations, interactive elements, search engine optimization, and tailored images.

Carriage Haus Rentals

Carriage Haus is a specialty golf cart rental service that recreates a vintage experience in Galveston with 1908 Ford Model-T styled carts. They hope to enhance the experience of visitors touring the island’s historical areas and provide creative travel options for special occasions. They chose JanMar to renovate their website with new page designs and make edits to old ones. JanMar is trusted with managing and creating content for a blog and newsletter as well as designs for signage.

Living Life The Happy Way

Living Life the Happy Way is a center for life improvement services that’s owned and operated by Rachel Stokes, a certified life coach. She organizes an assortment of meditations and retreats each month to pursue positivity and reenergize groups. For one-on-one work, she offers life coaching sessions to point clients towards a fuller life. The service has been able to rely on JanMar to design and manage its site. JanMar has also handled newsletters and related blogs and, when physical media is needed, flyer designs.

La Izquierda

La Izquierda is a nonprofit event organizer with a passion for bringing communities across the Gulf Coast together with music, festivals, and surf competitions. Any proceeds collected through donations and sales go towards preserving marine habitats and setting up future events. The public can enter for free and enjoy local and touring artists at their “Save the Locals Summer Concert Series.” JanMar has worked on media marketing and event coordination for the group, and our designer created the event posters for “Save the locals” and the “Surf and Music Festival.”

ICart

ICart Island Tours is a new Galveston touring business with an emphasis on green practices and transportation through the use of electric vehicles. The founder, Patrick Bates, was born on the island and is most widely known for his time spent in the NFL. Before launching, he worked with one of our graphic designers to go through around 20 different custom logo designs to find the perfect graphic for the company's start.

Island Ride Out is a Galveston cycling event that features 3 group rides along routes on the island. The event is accompanied by a bike expo and show with nightlife-related plans afterward. Both events are co-hosted by Island Bicycle Company owned by Jeff Nielsen. He works with JanMar to create a website, print flyers, run social media posts, and put together sponsorship packages for the event. Proceeds go towards improving the trails and rideability of the island.

Kids Score Your Games

Kids Score Your Games is a personal project for Regina Runnels. While golfing at Moody Gardens, she had the desire to pass the game and skills down to kids. To have any lessons, she needed materials with information that were understandable and informative. JanMar created a rule sheet along with instructional images on flashcards for scorekeeping and golfing. JanMar also helped with delivering and managing communications to the material manufacturer, so everything was printed correctly.

Urban Health & Fitness

Urban Health & Fitness is a member-only gym located in Downtown Galveston. While offering a few different membership options, Owner and Trainer, Peter Bergin also offers members 24-hour access with a key card, private locker rooms, modern equipment and more. Urban Health and Fitness is family-owned since 2009 and the only gym in the downtown area. JanMar created direct mail postcards and managed Facebook and Instagram for the gym. We also helped take photos and videos of the space.
